First of all, a quick announcement:
Can whoever ordered the rain please come and collect it from the mid-Atlantic. It seems to have been delivered here by mistake, as I certainly don’t want it.
Sorry for the lack of update yesterday. After a long, and largely successful, day concluded with a satellite phone call to The Bear in Box (the greatest pub in the world (that must be worth a few extra quid!)), I collapsed and fell asleep instantly. But it had been worth it. Another 50 miles in the right direction, with steady progress south, is keeping me right on track.
Today’s not been quite so great. I’m ashamed to admit that the wet weather has had a negative effect on the amount of time I spent rowing. I even tidied, cleaned and sorted the cabin!
Combined with the winds losing their northerly edge, I’ve made less than 40 miles today, and the majority of them west. Never mind, eh?
I must admit, I’m a little concerned about this week. The weather’s looking like being very changeable, not always helpful, and building up into what could be another unpleasant conclusion. Still, as long as the miles keep getting knocked off, I can’t really complain.
As for that tan I was expecting to get though…
