I bet you're wondering what kind of person would do this? Not even a little curious? Well, I'm going to tell you anyway I'm afraid.
Unlike some previous ocean rowers, I can't claim top-level appearances in international rowing crews. The pinnacle of my rowing career thus far has probably been reaching the top-ten in the University of London United Hospitals Bumps (in case you were under any illusions, no, that's really not at all impressive). However, I did manage to get through the rigorous selection proc
edure for the Royal Veterinary College men's crew (there were nine people fighting for eight places - it was tough). Nevertheless, prior to starting my training for this attempt, my idea of long-distance rowing was anything over 3,000 metres. Needless to say, it's been a bit of a shock!
Aside from my illustrious rowing history, my life has been fairly unremarkable. Following school, I managed to achieve great success at remaining a vet student for three years despite failing everything they put in front of me. After myself and the vet college eventually parted ways (I like to think it was of my own free will), I decided to make life easy for myself and am trying to complete an Open University law degree, while also working in the
enthralling world of proofreading at a big law firm. (If you're bored, just concentrate on the fact I've rowed the Atlantic - that's what's keeping me going!)
So that's it really. I'm not really sure what else would be of interest. I used to have a dog called Spliffy, my shoe size is large, my favourite colour is probably blue (but I've never really been sure) and, when I grow up, I want to be a rockstar. I'm not expecting to grow up anytime soon.
If you've got this far, have a look at my inane ramblings. They're great, honest. If not, come round my house and I'll make you a cup of tea as compensation. You'd better bring biscuits though.

I have raised over £20,000 for FARM-Africa. To help me raise even more, and to find out other ways to get involved, please
